Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the difference between 5.1, 6.1, 7.1 ?

A: The first number refers to the number of speakers of channels.  The
second number refers to the subwoofer.  So 7.1 would be 7 speakers
with 1 subwoofer.

Q: Is there any way to hide all the wiring for a
system ?

A:  Yes.  We can hide all the wiring inside the walls.

Q: Can the speakers be hidden ?

A:  Yes.  Many manufacturers make great in wall speakers.  If you don't
like in wall speakers you can hide the speakers behind stretched fabric.

Q:  I have big speakers, do I really need a
subwoofer ?

A:  Yes !!  Without a sub you would miss out on the LFE effect (ie. what
you feel when something explodes in a movie).  Subwoofers can make a
huge difference.

the movie makers intended for you to have.

room while someone else listens to something
else in another room ?

A:  Yes.  Many home theater receivers now have a second zone feature.
There are also many manufacturers that have multi-source / multi-zone
receivers.  These will let you create a system of many sources and just
about as many zones as you want.
